AI training & workflow automation · New Zealand

Your firm knows it needs to act on AI. We show you exactly where to start.

Structured training, governance frameworks, and workflow automation for NZ professional services firms. Practical. Measurable. Vendor-independent.

Co-founded by a UoA Business School teaching fellow Vendor-independent NZ Privacy Act aligned

Where do you start?

Two paths. One question first.

Structuring AI use

My team is already using AI. We just have no structure around it.

Staff are using ChatGPT, Copilot, and other tools without guidelines, without governance, and without consistency. Some are getting real value from it. Others aren't using it at all. The gap is widening and the risk is real. We help you build the framework, the policy, and the practical skills to get your whole team working confidently and responsibly.

Automating your workflows

There's time being lost somewhere. We help you find it and fix it.

Maybe you already know exactly which processes are killing your team's time. Maybe you suspect there's something worth automating but haven't scoped it yet. Either way, we start with your actual systems and your actual workflows, identify what's worth building, and then build it. Fixed scope. Fixed price. Full documentation. You own everything.

Common questions

Questions about AI for NZ professional services firms.

What managing partners and operations managers ask most often before getting in touch.

What does AIpex actually do?
AIpex provides two types of service: structured AI training programmes for professional services staff and leadership teams, and fixed-scope workflow automation builds. Training services help firms build internal AI capability and establish governance. Automation builds identify and implement specific operational improvements within a firm's existing systems. Both are fixed-fee with defined deliverables.
Who is AIpex for?
AIpex works primarily with NZ professional services firms — accounting and advisory practices, architecture and planning consultancies, engineering firms, and legal practices. Typical clients have between 10 and 100 employees. The common denominator is that AI is already happening informally and the firm needs structure, governance, and practical capability to make it work properly.
What makes AIpex different from a generic AI course or a Microsoft Copilot reseller?
AIpex is vendor-independent. It doesn't resell software licences and doesn't receive referral fees from technology vendors. All training content is built specifically for NZ professional services workflows and NZ Privacy Act 2020 obligations — not global content repackaged for a local audience. Automation builds use whatever tools make sense for the firm's existing systems.
Is AIpex eligible for MBIE AI Advisory Pilot co-funding?
Several AIpex services are eligible for co-funding under the MBIE AI Advisory Pilot, which provides up to 50% government co-funding for eligible engagements (up to NZ$15,000). Eligible services include the full-day AI Capability Workshop, the AI Readiness Assessment, and both Workflow Integration Sprint tiers. See the pricing page for details.
Who is Patrick Dodd and what is his role at AIpex?
Patrick Dodd is co-founder of AIpex and leads strategy, training, and client relationships. He is a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland Business School. At AIpex, he delivers AI capability programmes, governance frameworks, and executive briefings for NZ professional services firms.
What industries does AIpex work with?
AIpex primarily works with NZ professional services firms including accounting and advisory practices, architecture and planning consultancies, engineering firms, and legal practices. Training programmes and workflow automations are tailored to the specific workflows and compliance obligations of each sector, including NZ Privacy Act 2020 obligations around client data handling.
